Academic Board Student Representatives

The Coleg appoints 7 enthusiastic Student Representatives every year to sit on its Academic Board.

Their job is to represent students studying in Universities across Wales from all three regions.

  • South East - Cardiff University, Cardiff Metropolitan University and the University of South Wales
  • South West - Swansea University and the University of Wales Trinity Saint David
  • Central and North Wales - Aberystwyth University, Bangor University and Glyndwr University

National - Postgraduate Student Representative

The Academic Board meets three times a year in locations across Wales and is responsible for setting the Coleg’s academic direction.

WHY BECOME A REPRESENTATIVE?

Being a Student Representative is a great way to learn about the work of the Coleg and participate in the process of developing and expanding Welsh medium provision. You will learn about the decision-making processes, democracy, and how the College is actively planning for the future.

You will develop your interests, whether in the curriculum, sustainability, learning spaces, technology or academic issues. You will make a positive contribution for your fellow students and improve the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol for future students.
