For decades in the Rhondda, he campaigned for Welsh medium education, and is now a county councillor. He is also active in his community with the Rhondda’s community newspaper, Y Gloran; he is vice-president of Treorchy Rugby Club, is Secretary of Hermon Chapel and Treorchy Welsh Society.
