Health Minister announces funding to support more Welsh speaking medical and dental students.

On a visit to Cardiff University’s School of Medicine today (Thursday 6 February 2020), Health Minister, Vaughan Gething AM, will announce Welsh Government funding for a scheme to support more Welsh speaking prospective medical and dental students to successfully apply to university.

Two Aberystwyth University students have won awards in memory of two of our nations greats. Michelle Rafferty and Iestyn Tyne will receive the Gwobr John Davies and the Gwobr Gwyn Thomas Awards at a special event at the National Eisteddfod in Conwy in August.
