The Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol are looking forward to a busy week at the 2015 Montgomeryshire and the Marches National Eisteddfod and have prepared an exciting programme of events for the festival.
Elvey MacDonald will present the Coleg’s annual lecture entitled ‘Y Wladfa 1865-2015: Dathlu Beth?’ The lecture will be held in the Pabell Lên on Tuesday 4 August at 11am.
At 2pm the same day, ‘Hawliau Iaith’ will be launched in memory of Dr Meredydd Evans on the Coleg stand before the Merêd Memorial Award will be presented. The award aims to recognise a students’ contribution to Welsh life and culture, within university and further afield.
Once again this year, various bands will perform throughout the week including Sorela, Bromas, Arwel Lloyd, Ynyr Llwyd and Ed Holden.
Also, Elan and Mari will hold a workshop teaching visitors how to DJ, Pluen drama company will give a taste of their new production and Coleg Cymraeg lecturer and former winner of the Bryn Terfel Scholarship, Dr Manon Wyn Williams will hold a performing workshop.
