Cronfa William Salesbury has announced that Heledd Lois Ainsworth and Elen Wyn Jones are the winners of the 2018 William Salesbury Scholarship.
Heledd is a pupil at Ysgol Bro Teifi, Llandysul and Elen comes from Talybont, Bangor and is a pupil at Ysgol Dyffryn Ogwen, Bethesda.
Heledd is currently studying A Level Welsh, History and Maths and the Welsh Baccalaureate, and has won the scholarship, worth £5,000 over 3 years, to study Law and Welsh at Cardiff University in September 2018.
She said: "I feel extremely proud that the panel has decided that I am worthy of this honorable scholarship. The scholarship will allow me to investigate the use of minority languages in the fields of law. Legal aspects now touch every part of life, so I look forward to confronting the challenge. "
Elen is studying Music, Welsh, Mathematics and the Welsh Baccalaureate and in September she hopes to go to Bangor University to study Music.
Elen said: "It is a privilege to receive one of the William Salesbury scholarships this year. I look forward to going to University to continue with my studies and the scholarship will be of great benefit to me. "
Cronfa William Salebury offers two scholarships annually to students, who are a member of the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol, to study a course offered entirely through the medium of Welsh in one of the universities in Wales. The Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol administers the scholarship on behalf of Cronfa William Salebury.
