The presence of the Welsh language in the Digital Age is vital to the survival of the language. Existing evidence shows a contrast between, on the one hand, positive attitudes to Welsh language services offered through technology and the aspirations of Welsh speakers to use them and, on the other, the low use made of services through technology. This shows that there is a problem between offering services through technology methods and the use of that technology. This essay explores alternative Behavioural Change methods as a way of helping policy practitioners to change linguistic behaviour in the context of Welsh language technology.
