The promotion of entrepreneurship in Welsh language strongholds
The aim of the doctorate is to identify the factors that assist or discourage Welsh-speaking graduate entrepreneurs from Welsh-speaking areas in setting up businesses in these areas. The research project will highlight associated economic, linguistic and community implications, with the aim of being useful to those creating educational policies, strategies and programmes that influence the resilience of Welsh speaking areas.
The project will focus on three sectors; craft, food and drink, and digital, and will include a mix of self-employed individuals and founders of small or medium-sized businesses as part of the research.
Start date: October 2020
