University media courses make the most of opportunities to create links between academic study schemes and the profession. You can specialise in specific areas such as scriptwriting and performing, technical skills such as camera operation and editing materials, as well as studio production or on-location programmes. You’ll also have the opportunity to familiarise yourself with the main academic challenges of this field, including professional review and textual analysis in a wide cultural and historical context.
Media graduates can choose to use their bilingualism in the Welsh media, or choose to work beyond Wales. Those studying media through the medium of Welsh have a valuable advantage in an industry in which the language plays a vibrant part.
