Why did you choose to study the degree subject?
Chemical Engineering combines my favourite subjects at school - Mathematics and Chemistry. It gives me an opportunity to expand my skills and learn new skills.
Why did you choose to study through the medium of Welsh?
To allow me to expand my language skills, and to give me extra opportunities to use Welsh professionally in the workplace.
What's the best thing about studying a course partly through the medium of Welsh?
The classes are much smaller than the English-medium lectures. This creates a more personal experience. It also allows you to get to know your tutors better.
Any advice for prospective students who are worried about studying through the medium of Welsh?
There is nothing to worry about at all. In many ways it makes life easier when moving from sixth form to University if you are studying through the medium of Welsh.
Why did you apply to be an ambassador and what are you most looking forward to?
I applied to be a Coleg ambassador so that I could help sixth form pupils make choices about their future and explain to them what kind of opportunities are available.
What do you enjoy most about being at university?
Being part of a specialist group that has the opportunity to study Engineering through the medium of Welsh.
Watching Swansea play in the Premiership and playing five-a-side football with my friends.
Sport, films and going out for food (a real luxury if you're at university!)
