Why choose to study the degree subject: My favourite subject in school was business, because I enjoyed the finance side within business.
Why choose to study in Welsh: In order to improve my language skills after a period of not using them.
What's the best thing about studying the course in Welsh: No stress about needing to do the whole degree in Welsh / still being able to attend English language lectures.
Any advice for prospective students concerned about studying in Welsh: Yes, don't worry too much, the Welsh language staff are very helpful and supportive, and the lectures are less frightening than I thought they would be. If anything, the Welsh ones are better because there's fewer people in the lectures.
Would you encourage others to apply for a Coleg Cymraeg scholarship: Yes. The additional money is very useful, and it motivates you to work hard.
Why apply to be an ambassador: I applied to be an ambassador as another way of improving my language skills outside the classroom, and also as a way of meeting other people in similar situations. I'm looking forward to meeting students who are thinking about applying to university, and talking to them about my personal experience of applying.
What do you enjoy most about being in university in Wales: My favourite part of being at university was the freedom of moving away from home and choosing a subject that I wanted to do with no limitations and with freedom to do part of the course or the whole course through the medium of Welsh.
Hobbies: My main hobbies are reading and going out with friends.
Favourite Welsh language programme/film: I enjoy watching the Eisteddfod.
Any other interesting facts about you: I'm a bit obsessed with Harry Potter.
